Elopement Photography in the Swiss Alps
Tying the knot — just the two of you, in the heart of the mountains.
If that sounds like you, then an elopement in the Swiss Alps is exactly the right adventure. An elopement isn't just a small wedding — it's a deliberate choice. You choose what matters: each other, nature, stillness. No schedule, no stress, no hundred expectations. Just this one day, entirely yours.

Why elope in the Swiss Alps?
The Swiss Alps offer one of the most breathtaking natural backdrops in the world for an intimate elopement: untouched mountain landscapes, secluded alpine lakes, snow-covered peaks, historic mountain villages and valleys where time seems to stand still.
Graubünden is my home — Switzerland’s largest alpine canton, with a nature that leaves every mountain lover speechless. I grew up here and know this mountain world inside out: the hidden places no travel guide will ever show you and that can only be reached on foot, the different seasons with their own character and the paths far from the tourist crowds. I’m not just here with my camera — I’m your guide, from the very first idea to the finished gallery of your wedding photos.

We found Cornelia online and immediately felt that she was the right person for us. She responded quickly, speaks excellent English, and as a local she knows the area very well and has great contacts. She helped us organize a beautiful and intimate elopement in the mountains, and the photos capture our day in such an authentic and emotional way.
We are so grateful—thank you for everything, Cornelia!
How does an elopement with me work?
Getting to know each other
We start with a video call. You tell me about your vision, I tell you about myself, my way of working and the possibilities in the Swiss Alps. No pressure — just an honest conversation to find out if we're the right fit for each other.
Planning and preparation
Once you've chosen me, we start planning: location, date, timing, flow of the day. I'll send you all the information you need about getting there, what to bring and everything else you need to know.

Frequently asked questions about elopements in the Swiss Alps
Not at all — in fact, that’s often the case with international couples. Many of my couples see the Swiss Alps for the very first time on their elopement day. That’s exactly why I’m here: so you can focus entirely on the moment while I take care of everything else.
That depends on the location. In certain protected areas, a photography permit is required — I handle all of that for you and clarify every detail in advance. At most other locations, no special permits are needed.
Yes — and a winter elopement in the Swiss Alps is truly unforgettable. The white silence, the crisp winter light, the stillness of the mountain world. Winter elopements are one of my absolute favourite niches.
Of course. Some couples already have a clear vision of the location and flow of the day — in that case I’m primarily there as photographer. Others want full guidance from start to finish. We shape the scope together, entirely based on your needs.
For Saturday elopements I recommend booking at least 12 months in advance — popular seasons like summer and winter fill up early. For weekday elopements the lead time is usually shorter; 5–6 months is generally enough.
