FAQ
Popular wedding dates — especially summer Saturdays — are often booked 12 to 18 months in advance. My advice: as soon as you have your date and venue, get in touch. The earlier, the better. For elopements and more intimate celebrations, the lead time is usually a little shorter, but booking early is always worth it.
Yes — and this matters a lot to me. Wedding photography is a very personal thing, and I want you to feel completely at ease in my presence on your wedding day. That’s why we start with a video call before booking — so we can get to know each other and see if the connection feels right, on both sides. Just as you’re looking for the right photographer, it’s equally important to me that we’re the right fit for each other.
Before the wedding, we’ll meet again in person to go over all the final details, so that on the big day you can simply arrive and enjoy every moment.
This is one of the most common concerns I hear — and I take it very seriously. The secret to natural photos isn’t perfect poses, it’s creating the right conditions for real moments to happen on their own. I guide you gently and keep things simple, so it feels more like a walk than a photoshoot. And as an experienced portrait photographer, I know exactly how to make people look their best in front of the camera.
And by the time your wedding day arrives, we’ll have already met on a video call and in person. I won’t be a stranger anymore. That shows in the photos.
Both — depending on the moment. This is perhaps the most difficult art in my work: to be everywhere and yet invisible. During the ceremony, in the emotional moments, on the dance floor — I stay quiet, in the background, capturing what unfolds without interfering. During the couple shoot I guide you gently, offering simple directions and posing tips along the way.
The First Look — that first moment when you see each other as bride and groom — is something I set up very intentionally: I prepare the scene, give you the signal, and then step back. That moment belongs to you. I’m only there to capture it.
My goal is for you to say at the end of the day: «We barely noticed her — but she caught everything.»
Honestly? Bad weather is often my favourite weather to shoot in. Mist over the mountain peaks, rain on the lake, dramatic clouds above the alp — these are moods that no sunny day can replicate. I’m fully prepared to create powerful images in any conditions.
At the same time, we always work out a Plan B together: alternative locations, indoor spaces, different timings. In Graubünden, the weather can turn within hours — in either direction. That unpredictability is part of mountain life, and I know it well enough to work with it, not against it.
Because Graubünden is my home — not just my workplace. I grew up here, and I know the landscape, the light, the seasons and the hidden places that no travel guide will show you. I speak German, English, Spanish and Romansh — the native language of this region — and I understand the local culture and its nuances.
I know the high-alpine logistics: which cable cars run when, which trails are accessible in which season, which protected areas require permits, and how the weather behaves at 2,500 metres. That means no unpleasant surprises for you, no stress — just a relaxed day in an extraordinary setting.
And I know Graubünden’s wedding venues from first-hand experience: from the Lenzerheide to the Surselva valley to the Engadin.
Yes, absolutely. In my portfolio section you’ll find complete wedding stories, not just a selection of the best shots. That way you get an honest picture of my work — from the first moments of preparation to the last dance of the evening. Feel free to have a look.
I know how exciting it is to see your wedding photos! That’s why I’ll send you a few sneak peeks shortly after the wedding. The full gallery is usually ready within 4 weeks of your big day, depending on the season and the scope of the event. I’ll keep you updated at every step of the editing process.
That depends on the scope of your wedding day — the number of locations, the size of your group, and all the wonderful surprises in between. As a general guide, you can expect around 500 images for a 6-hour coverage, and 600–800 for 9 or 12 hours. What I can guarantee: every image I deliver is carefully selected and edited — quality over quantity.
Yes. Transparency and reliability matter to me — for you just as much as for myself. When you book, you’ll receive my general terms and conditions, which cover everything clearly: scope of services, payment terms, image rights, cancellation policies and more. By paying the 30% deposit to reserve your date, you automatically agree to these terms. Everything is clear from the start — no surprises.
I’m so glad to hear that! To book, please get in touch to check availability for your date and arrange a consultation call. During that conversation, we’ll go through all the details of your wedding. Once we’ve connected and everything is confirmed, I’ll send you an invoice for the 30% deposit — as soon as that’s paid, your date is officially reserved in my calendar. The remaining balance is due no later than two weeks before the wedding.
Yes, absolutely. Graubünden is my home — but your story might unfold somewhere else, and I’d love to be there for it. For weddings in the core area of Graubünden, travel and expenses are already included in my packages. For weddings in the outer areas of the canton or beyond — anywhere else in Switzerland or abroad — I’m happy to put together a personalised quote including travel costs. Just send me your location and I’ll get back to you with all the details.
Yes — and I love working with international couples. As a photographer who grew up in Graubünden and knows the region inside out, I’m often much more than just the photographer on the day. I help with location scouting, know the local vendors, understand which permits are needed, and can guide you through the planning process — in German, English or Spanish.
Many of my couples have never visited Graubünden before their wedding. That’s no problem at all — we work everything out together via video call, and I provide detailed information every step of the way. So that when the big day comes, all you have to do is arrive and enjoy.
